Georgia is a narrative short film based on the true story of a young Greek mother in 1964 Athens who was forced to say goodbye to her child before adoption. Set against the hidden history of the Greek adoption scandal, the film explores motherhood, identity, loss, and the quiet courage of a woman facing impossible circumstances. At its heart, Georgia is a story of love that could not be erased, a mother’s final act of sacrifice, and a son’s lifelong journey to understand where he came from.
